Maradona: Krisis Inter, Kesalahan Mourinho

Written By Unknown on Saturday, March 24, 2012 | Saturday, March 24, 2012

(eh)

Serie A wrap: Bologna hold Juve, Cesena off bottom

Written By Unknown on Thursday, March 8, 2012 | Thursday, March 08, 2012

Bologna held Juventus to a 1-1 draw in Serie A on Wednesday, leaving league leaders AC Milan two points clear at the top.

Hosts Bologna took the lead through Marco Di Vaio 17 minutes into the rescheduled fixture at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara, and Juve needed Mirko Vucinic's second-half equaliser to salvage a point.

Juve remain unbeaten in the league this season, but now trail defending champions Milan by two points after failing to win their game in hand over the front-runners.

A lack of guile in the final third made for a limp opening 15 minutes to the match, before some poor Juve defending gifted Bologna the opening goal.

Stephan Lichtsteiner's attempt to play the offside trap failed, allowing Gaston Ramirez's piercing through ball to find Di Vaio.

The veteran striker, a former Juventus player, gathered the pass to finish with aplomb beyond visiting goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon.

A tight contest became an open one in the second half, and two minutes before the hour mark the visitors were level.

Andrea Pirlo's inch-perfect ball found an onrushing Vucinic, who chipped over Bologna goalkeeper Jean-Francois Gillet to make it 1-1.

And the visitors should have gone on to win the match.

Claudio Marchisio missed a chance to make it 2-1 from close range, while Marco Borriello also fluffed a tap-in opportunity.

Juve's frustrations boiled over in the closing minutes, as coach Antonio Conte was sent to the stands for arguing with the fourth official.

Leonardo Bonucci was then shown his second yellow card for a cynical foul on Ramirez in the 84th minute.
With neither side able to find a winner in the time remaining, a valuable point leaves Bologna 13th, five points clear of the relegation zone.

Juve meanwhile have now managed just one win from their last five matches in Serie A.

Also on Wednesday, Fiorentina came from behind to lead 2-1 away to Parma, only for Sebastian Giovinco's 86th-minute penalty to salvage a 2-2 draw for the home side.

Cesena found themselves a man down just 20 minutes into their match at home to Catania after Daniel Pudil was given his marching orders.

Nevertheless, the hosts held out for a 0-0 draw, while visitors Catania also finished the match with 10 men following Sergio Almiron's sending off two minutes into stoppage time.
